By accessing or using Zonewise (zonewise.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. Zonewise reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.

2. Description of Service

Zonewise provides a timezone comparison and conversion tool designed to help distributed teams coordinate across different time zones. The service includes features for comparing multiple timezones, identifying optimal meeting times, tracking working hours overlap, and sharing timezone configurations via URL. The service is provided free of charge with optional premium features.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Zonewise. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with service operations
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or security measures
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service without authorization
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the service

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Zonewise, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software, and the compilation thereof, are the exclusive property of Zonewise and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Zonewise name, logo (Toucan), and all related marks are trademarks of Zonewise.io. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of Zonewise is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Zonewise stores timezone preferences locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not require account creation for basic functionality. Any data you share via URL parameters (timezone selections, dates, times) is visible in the URL and may be logged by third-party services when you share links.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ZONEWISE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TIMEZONE DATA, DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME TRANSITIONS, AND TIME CALCULATIONS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZONEWISE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Accuracy of Time Data

While we strive to provide accurate timezone information, Zonewise relies on the IANA Time Zone Database and browser-based time calculations. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of time conversions, especially around daylight saving time transitions or for regions with recent timezone changes. Users should independently verify critical time-sensitive information. Zonewise is not responsible for missed meetings, appointments, or other consequences resulting from reliance on our time calculations.

10. Service Modifications

Zonewise reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts or all of the service without notice or liability.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zonewise, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Zonewise operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
